On Tuesday June 16th, 2026 the Western Michigan Patriots
will host an educational forum on
Environmentalism, Energy Policy and Climate Science
(The Good, The Bad and The Ugly)
The meeting will be held from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the
Howard-Miller Community Center (Doors open at 5:30 p.m.)
The meeting is free, open to the public and will be videotaped.
A private luncheon reception to meet the speakers will be held at 3:30 pm

- Climate Science and the popular myths about renewable energy.
- The false foundations of sustainable development.
- Updates: Coal fired plants and nuclear energy in Western Michigan.
- AI Data Centers: Potential benefits, drawbacks and issues of local control.
- Review of current climate rules, regulations and energy policies and their impacts on Michigan.
- Suggestions for developing good public policy on environmental issues.
- Solid, scientific-data and fact-based resources available to the average citizen.

- Mr. Goreham is an independent columnist, speaker and author of numerous books
- Steve is a well-regarded researcher, writer and speaker on environmental issues
- He holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois
- He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago
- Steve has 30 years of experience as an engineer and executive in Fortune 500 companies
- Mr. David Stevenson–Director of Energy and Environmental Policy for the Mackinac Center
- Directed the Center for Energy and Environment for the Caesar Rodney Institute (14 years)
- Previously served on President Trump’s EPA Transition Team
